It might surprise you to learn that I grew up on a farm, among a family of twenty no less. As
you can probably imagine, the days were long and incredibly busy. Farm life is entirely
dictated by seasons. You have to harvest when it’s time, because if you don’t, the crop goes
bad. We all had a part to play, so even when we were exhausted, even when the list of tasks
felt so long we couldn’t imagine ever finishing, we always made it because we supported
each other. My parents modelled faith and trust in me, giving me a sense of significance and
teaching me to reach my highest potential because, “the sky was the limit”.
